Data Integration

Before you can use any ShuttleGirl module, we need to integrate
your schedule and system data with ours. Second Kiss Wireless has a
set of scripts to parse, import, and reassemble your data from almost any
source. Our scripts are capable of interpreting spreadsheets,
text files, databases, HTML tables, and even PDF
files. Once the one-time integration process is complete, we can build
and update data files (for ShuttleGirl Handheld components) as well as our
master schedule database (for ShuttleGirl Online components) on an ongoing
basis.

Considerations
|
|
|
|
The 'cleaner' your schedule data, the more efficient the integration
process. If your data is consistent and well-structured, the
integration process is typically fast and easy. If not, we'll work
with you to come up with a solution. Databases are generally easiest
to work with.

|
|
Once a data format has been agreed upon, schedule updates are
painless. Simply send us your latest set of schedule data, and we'll
take care of the rest. However, it's important that you notify us
well in advance if your data structure or format is expected to change.

|
|
|
If your transit agency uses MultiModal schedule planning software (e.g., MultiRail®
PE), the integration process is already complete! We can set up
ShuttleGirl in a matter of days. All integration fees are waived in
this case.
