MBTA Handheld Schedule Planner – Installation (Palm OS®)

Requirements: A Palm Powered™ handheld device running Palm OS 3.1 or higher.

Installation:

1. Download the files you need and save them to a location you'll remember, like your desktop. Remember, you need the software (MBTA.prc) if it's not already installed on your device. And, of course, you need the schedule data and map files of your choice (e.g., CommuterRail.pdb and Map-CommuterRail.prc for the commuter rail system).

2. Follow your device's standard installation procedure to install the files in any order. All files (application, schedule data, or map) are installed the same way. For additional information, consult the documentation for your device. Installation instructions for Palm Powered™ handhelds are described below.

If your system is configured to recognize Palm files automatically:
1. Locate the file(s) you downloaded (e.g., on your desktop). Double-click on each file (or select them all at once and double-click) to launch the Install Tool...	2. The Install Tool will open, and the file(s) you clicked on will appear in the list. If all the files you want are in the list, hit Done and they will be installed next time you HotSync® your handheld device. To add additional files, repeat the previous step.

If your system is NOT configured to recognize Palm files:
1. From your Start menu, launch the Palm Desktop Install Tool.
2. When the Install Tool opens, the list will be empty. Hit Add...	3. Locate the file(s) you want to install (e.g., select your desktop from the list). Select a file from the list and hit Open. Repeat this process until all the files you want are in the Install Tool list. Now hit Done and the file(s) will be installed next time you HotSync your handheld device.
