Technical Requirements
All you really need is a web server and you're ready to distribute ShuttleGirl™ Handheld
to your commuters. Second Kiss Wireless will provide you with a set
of web pages and scripts to put on your server – ShuttleGirl can be
set up in a matter of minutes! Here are some additional details:
We recommend that you add special MIME types to your web server (or,
alternatively, set up an anonymous FTP server) to ensure that the
application and data files are properly recognized by all web browsers.
If your web server is running Microsoft® Windows NT®
Server 4.0 or Windows®
2000, you can take advantage of our pre-built user registration and
feedback scripts. You'll need an ODBC-compliant database server
(e.g., Microsoft® SQL Server or Oracle® database with ODBC drivers) to
store this information – or you can simply use Microsoft® Access if you
don't expect high traffic.
Alternatively, Second Kiss Wireless can host and maintain the distribution site for
you on one of our servers (at no additional charge). All you
need to do is place a link on your web site!
